1. Subscription Cancellation

How to Cancel: You can cancel your subscription at any time from your subscription dashboard.

Effective Date: Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Access: You will retain access to paid features until the end of your billing period.

2. Refund Policy

7-Day Money-Back Guarantee: If you're not satisfied with our service, you can request a full refund within 7 days of your first subscription payment.

Renewal Refunds: Subscription renewals are non-refundable. Please cancel before your renewal date if you don't wish to continue.

3. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund within the 7-day window:

  1. Contact us at: refunds@examinateai.com
  2. Include your subscription ID and reason for refund
  3. We will process your refund within 5-7 business days

4. Non-Refundable Items

The following are not eligible for refunds:

  • Subscription renewals after the first month
  • Partial month subscriptions (pro-rated refunds not available)
  • Subscriptions cancelled after 7 days

5. Plan Downgrades

When downgrading:

  • The change takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • No refund is provided for the difference in plan cost
  • You retain access to higher-tier features until downgrade takes effect

6. Payment Failures

If a subscription renewal payment fails:

  • We will retry the payment 3 times over 7 days
  • You will receive email notifications about failed payments
  • After 3 failed attempts, your subscription will be automatically downgraded to the free plan

7. Exceptional Circumstances

Refunds outside the 7-day window may be considered in exceptional circumstances:

  • Technical issues preventing service use
  • Unauthorized charges (please report immediately)
  • Service outages affecting your subscription period

8. Refund Processing

Timeline: Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days.

Method: Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the subscription.

Notification: You will receive an email confirmation once the refund is processed.
